From a young age, my Baba had me on the kitchen counter, weighing flour for dough, licking the beaters and reading out the recipe instructions. I inherited her passion and her talents, now sharing them with my community (without licking any more utensils). Recipes have been perfected to please a variety of tastes, keeping with traditional practices and improving where needed (a fridge helps).

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• All orders are to be made with a minimum of 1 month’s advanced notice. 2 months for large orders for more than 100 people.
• A non-refundable 45% deposit is required on all orders with no exceptions and no credit. This is to ensure that supplies can be ordered and organised prior to preparation beginning and to solidify the booking.
• A maximum of 6 types of cakes can be requested per booking. This ensures quality over quantity.
• Bookings may be canceled up to 2 weeks before the booking unless under specified circumstances. Circumstances include a death in the immediate family, an unforeseeable medical emergency, or something dire and unforeseeable.
• Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances. Often the deposit is used to buy supplies that cannot be returned once purchase in those select quantities so it would be impossible to refund a deposit.
• A refund will not be given once the order has been completed under any circumstances.
• Products are not to be resold once purchased.
• All cakes are to be picked up from Surfers Paradise. Mala Torta holds no delivery responsibility and will not be able to deliver any orders. Please take note of how to keep your order at safe temperatures if travelling long distances.
• Mala Torta holds no responsibility over the order once it has been picked up. It is not responsible for the safety of the cake’s storage once the order has been picked up.
